Colors

I decided to write about this poem because I love colors and I love learning the different meanings of colors.

The narrator who wrote “Color” is Christian Rossetti.

The theme of the poem “Color” is describing the different meaning variation in the color of nature.

The poem “Color” didn’t have any physical images, although Christian shares beautiful examples based on colors. As Christian wrote this poem based on the colors of nature, the readers are touched by the metaphor which is used in the examples in the poem.

Christian appeals to the sense of the reader to visualize the aspects of colors that represent life. Christian made it easy to picture the “the pink rose, the red poppy, the blue sky, the yellow pear, the green grass, the violet clouds, and the orange orange”.

Throughout the poem Christian applied questions as a literary device to use to create a rhythmical flow. In the poem questions like “what is pink” what is blue” and “ what is yellow” etc. Continuing reading in the poem Christian answers the questions by using simple sentences to create lyric flow. What is green, which symbolizes the grass is green. In the poem Christian uses some consonance throughout the poem, repeating the same flow for example such as. “what is violet? The clouds are violet. In the summer twilight. Readers will always enjoy reading something simple and meaningful such as poems. Which is something that I enjoy reading as well.
