Anatomy of Scene

I decided to write about the movie Moonlight because it’s one of the most special and important films out there. Not only for its cultural significance, it’s the details the way the film tells the most fragile story’s to be put in a film. What I find so interesting about the movie Moonlight is how purposeful everything is each scene has a some significant meaning that adds to the story. With all the themes that come across throughout the film the message behind the title Moonlight is so powerful and settle. To be under the moonlight in this film means to be yourself. In one of the scenes you see Juan takes Little to the ocean to learn how to swim, this scene is so powerful moment for anyone childhood. It looks like he was being baptized. Watching this scene it’s Little and Juan being they’re selfs, the ocean takes up 80 percent of the world which is incredible of humanity. This is more then Juan teaching little how to swim, it’s Juan teaching Little how to overcome his fear. Also the water in the scene reference to the play “Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue” the title was meaningful that the director had Juan say to Little the exact same scene in the play “Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue” the phase means that you are more then what your skin defines you as at the same time keeping that proud for that color. It’s saying that there’s more layers of being black and thoese layers are the moonlight.

Charade

I decided to write about Charade because it’s comedy, romance, spy and thriller. Charade is a 1963 movie. The film is is known for its screenplays especially of where the film was filmed in Paris. Regina Lampert was on a skiing holiday in Megève, she was talking to her friend about she wanted to divorce her husband Charles. She meets a guys name Peter. She thought they can friends. I like how the director decided to film this in Megève, which is really beautiful. In the scene you see Ragina sitting down drinking her tea enjoying her day, Peter waking up to her standing there. What I found so romance is that while she was sitting there she lookup and saw Peter blocking her view. I like the way she was dressed, the way she took off her sunglasses looking at him. The lighting in the scene was perfect and camera was while focused on her and him. They were acting very flirty she asked him to move away from her view but she know it was because of him. She knew them at she was enjoying both views.
